One of the hardest things for a small business owner to do, especially in the first few years of a company’s existence, is to take a vacation, even if it’s just for a few days.

If you have good employees then they can handle day to day while you are away. It’s important to start delegating tasks to your employees way before your vacation. You may find that they may do some tasks faster than you can, so that frees up time for you.

If a week away sounds scary, then consider mini-vacations of long weekends and really let go of work for three whole days.  Relaxing can make a big difference and help you run your business better.
